This year the time for the ExTRAINaganza will be 10 to 4 on all four days.
Model trains in various scales will be running under decorated Christmas trees and operating throughout the two-story, handicapped accessible club building on our five permanent layouts, including Thomas the Tank Engine. There is a Brio layout at a young child’s height and a play area with age-appropriate trains for young children near the craft tables where parents can sit and watch their children while enjoying light snacks. Children will be able to decorate and eat cookies and create Christmas ornaments to take home. Locomotives and rolling stock, railroad books, hats and T-shirts, and other model railroad items will be for sale. Train Time videos will be shown all day and can also be purchased.
Tickets for games with prizes and for decorating Christmas ornaments and cookies cost $1 each or 7 for $5. For this event, there will be no charge for children to be Guest Engineers on the HO layout.
Admission is $3 for adults; all children 12 and under are admitted free if accompanied by an adult.
Pictures from earlier ExTRAINaganzas are in the gallery on this website. We do hope you will come and enjoy sharing this special pre-Christmas event with us.
